Article 1 – Object

This regulation governs the mode of participation in the Project "Village of Artists",
an artistic home international inserted in the Program Pythagoras Mundus programme, aimed at
the promotion of creativity and intercultural exchange through artistic production.

No. 2 – Recipients

The residence is open to musicians, visual artists, poets and performers from any country, with
proven experience in the artistic field. Participation is subject to the selection
part of the artistic committee.

Article 3 – Application and selection

1. The decisions of the artistic committee in the selection of the artists are final and not
subject to challenge. The commission reserves the right to accept or reject
any application at its own discretion, without the obligation to state reasons.
2. Those interested should fill in the application form the official available on the site
www.pitagoramundus.org/scuolaestiva.
3. The applications are evaluated within three (3) business days from receipt.
4. The selection is made on the basis of the following criteria:
or artistic Quality of the portfolio;
or Consistency of the project with the purposes of the residence;
or Ability to interact with the community and other artists.
5. The artistic committee reserves the right to request additional materials or an interview
cognitive.

No. 4 – Periods and duration of residence

1. The residence takes place in the following periods:
or May – June → Application within 14 April
or July → Application by June 1,
or September → Application by 1 August
or October → Application by the 1st of September
2. The minimum period of residence is two (2) weeks, maximum of eight (8) weeks.

No. 5 – Scholarships and costs of participation

1. There are six (6) scholarships per month.
2. The costs of participation are established in the following way:
or 4 weeks → €1.990 (€590 with scholarship)
or 2 weeks → €1.050 (€350 with scholarship)
or additional Week over 4 weeks → €500 (€150 with scholarship)
3. The musical groups (max 4 people) can make use of the shared accommodation.
4. The payment of the first instalment must be made within seven (7) days from acceptance.

Article 6 – Rights and duties of the artists-in-residence

1. The selected artists are committed to:
or Participate in the performance on a weekly, open studio, and moments of confrontation with
the community;
or to Create an original work that will be donated to the village;
or Take part in workshops and meetings with students of Pythagoras Mundus
The Summer School;
or to live and work in the village for the entire period of participation.
2. The artists retain full intellectual property rights created, allowing
however, at the Village of Artists, the right exposure and use for promotional purposes.
3. It is prohibited to carry out activities that are not compatible with the regulation or which cause damage to the
community and to the spaces of the residence.

Article 7 – Cancellation and non-participation

1. The selected artists may opt out of the residence with a written notice of at least
thirty (30) days prior to the start. In this case, the fee paid will be refunded, net of
administrative expenses, and the bag will be assigned to another member.
2. In the case of non-attendance without prior notice, the fee paid will not be refunded.
3. The management reserves the right to revoke participation in the event of behaviour that is not
comply with the regulation.

Article 8 – Privacy and processing of personal data

1. The personal data of the artists will be processed in accordance with the current legislation on the
protection of personal data (Regulation EU 2016/679 – GDPR), solely for the
purposes related to participation in the residence, and the promotion of the project.
2. The artists allow the organization to use images, videos, and recordings of their
activities during the residence for promotional purposes and documentation.

Article 9 – intellectual Property

1. The works intangible assets (musical compositions, lyrics, performance) made
during the residence, remain the property of the artist, which grants to the Program
Pythagoras Mundus a license to use perpetual, non-exclusive and free of charge for educational purposes,
cultural and promotional, non-profit, maintaining the recognition of the
authorship of the work., that will be able to use them for educational purposes, cultural and promotional
non-profit, always recognizing the authorship of the artist.
2. The material works (sculptures, murals, and installations undertaken in the context of the program and
intended for public use enter to make part of the heritage of the Village of Wisdom,
remaining exposed in the village, or used for future events. The artist maintains the right to
authorship of the work, but gives the property rights related to its exposure and
conservation in the Village of Wisdom., remaining exposed in the village, or used for events

3. Artists grant to the Village of the Artists and the Program Pythagoras Mundus license
use a non-exclusive, free of the works created for communication and dissemination
cultural.

No. 10 – Adherence to the general regulations

1. The participation of the residence is subject to the observance of the Rules of Pythagoras
Mundus Summer School and of the General Terms and Conditions, available on the official website.
2. In the case of non-observance of the regulations, the organization reserves the right to exclude
the artist from the house, without the right to a refund.

No. 11 – final Rules

1. The participation in the residence implies the full acceptance of this regulation.
2. The management reserves the right to make changes, giving timely communication
the selected artists.
